Congratulations and Thoughts from the
Former Owner and Director of Brighton Montessori
It was through a mutual Montessori colleague that I had the great good fortune of meeting Leann Chamberlain. The timing proved to be perfect! I had retired a year or so earlier, and Brighton Montessori School was in need of new leadership to carry it into the future. Leann was an experienced Montessori teacher and was ready to realize her professional dream of owning and directing her own Montessori school. She hit the ground running in the spring of 2016 when the school was transferred into her very capable hands.
In addition to being a mother of three, Leann possessed Montessori Infant/Toddler and Montessori Pre-Primary Certifications as well as over thirteen years of Montessori teaching experience, and roots in the Livingston County area. She has worked hard to weave these attributes into the Montessori foundation she developed for the school.
Leann’s education and professional experiences have focused on the importance of the child’s developmental stages during the first six years of life. Her mission has been to provide a truly authentic Montessori experience for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners. A truly peace-filled Montessori environment also has been created to allow for a positive learning atmosphere. At Brighton Montessori School, Leann’s dedication to this encompassing philosophy of education resonates and inspires!
As Brighton Montessori begins its 30th year, congratulations to Leann and the staff, families and students of the school. Brighton Montessori has good, strong, dedicated leadership, and its coming years are destined to be exceptional!
